What this study is about

This trial is testing whether giving packed red blood cells (PRBCs) when your hemoglobin level reaches a specific threshold ("> 7 gm/dL") improves quality of life and helps you function better compared to giving PRBCs when your hemoglobin level reaches a higher threshold ("> 9 gm/dL"). This is for people who have had chemotherapy or a stem cell transplant for certain blood cancers.
