What this study is about
Researchers are testing whether a new procedure, POEM-F, reduces the risk of GERD after achalasia treatment compared to conventional POEM. The trial will involve patients with confirmed achalasia who are randomly assigned to either POEM-F or POEM. The main goal is to see if POEM-F leads to less GERD after the procedure.
