What this study is about

This trial is testing whether providing people with a new protocol to encourage bystanders to help others in risky situations (Motivate-the-Bystander) alone or with an alcohol component focused on reducing drinking behaviors (Motivate-the-Bystander+Alcohol) is more effective than a control condition for increasing bystander behaviors and decreasing alcohol use during those opportunities. Participants will complete online measures, participate in virtual reality simulations, and track their alcohol use through daily diaries.

Simplified from trial records by PatientMatch.
